Smoking Bear Pictures began in 2012 as a collaboration between lifelong friends, Jason Boesch and Preston Peterson. Together they co-wrote and co-directed the award-winning films, LiFi and West Virginia.

Their third film, Captive, is running through the festival circuit. It's a proof of concept for a feature film that is currently in development.
